You are invited to a special worship service celebrating Juneteenth, which happens to fall on a Sunday this year. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved black Americans as well as celebrating African-American culture. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1865. Pastor David Randall-Bodman will talk on "Celebration and Commitment" and our Music Director has prepared a variety of uplifting songs to celebrate the day. We hope to you'll join us!
