Bethel is making a stand against racism. This new logo contains a tree from Bethel’s logo and multi-colored hands together representing inclusion and cooperation. LEARNING ABOUT RACISM AND HOW TO RESPOND

We have a task force learning about systemic racism and how to respond with God’s inclusiveness and love.

We developed a lexicon with definitions of words pertaining to racism. By being intentional about the words we use (Book listand don't use), we can play an important part in breaking the cycle of institutional racism and oppression.

We had a sermon series on Michelle Alexander’s book, “The New Jim Crow”.

We also had a sermon series on “See No Stranger” by Valerie Kaur

Bethel has held Zoom discussion groups for relevant movies and books on anti-racism.
